Rising Star awards 2023

The Printing Charity’s Rising Star Awards opened for entries on 1 February: people aged 18-30 working in the print sector are encouraged to apply to fund training and development opportunities. Entries close on Sunday 2 April. For more details see the Rising Star section of the Printing Charity’s website.

Did you know?

The first ever edition of The Scotsman, or Edinburgh Political and Literary Journal was produced on Saturday, January 25 1817, from premises in Edinburgh’s High Street. It was originally published weekly, and became a daily newspaper in 1850. The proprietors announced that their ‘first desire is to be honest, the second is to be useful’.
